Meaning:

Kusala hasta is used to denote - moving on the ground, eye, objects complete in all respects, bathing or taking a dip in the river and lotus.

Based upon:
If the thumb of the Patāka hasta is streched out it becomes Ardhaçandra hasta.

Ardhaçandra - 7:266-268 When the thumb of Pataka hasta is stretched away from the other fingers, it beocmes Ardhaçandra hasta.
