Kaṭaka. If the middle finger and the third finger are joined together the result is the Kataka hand.
It is used to denote calling and moving.
If the tips of the middle finger and the ring finger joined together … it becomes Kaṭaka hasta.
Kaṭaka hasta is used to denote … seeing ... welcoming and moving... (The definition and the usages of this hasta are incomplete)
Widowhood, copulation, battle, Sri Rama, giving away a virgin in marriage - these five meanings are shown by both Kataka and Musti.
Brahma should be shown by both Kataka and Hamsapaksa,
Shatra should be shown by Kartarimukha and Kataka,
Month and cow - Pataka and Kataka,
Girl / virgin – Kartarimuka and Kataka
Ravana - Anjali and Kataka.
Truth and Dharma - Kataka and Musti,
Remembrance - Kataka and Mudrakhya
Mother and female friend - Kataka and Hamsapaksa,
play - Kataka and Anjali,
daughter - Kataka and Sucimukha.
Feminine gender should always be accompanied with Kataka.
Beautiful woman - Kataka and Mukura.
